Game play reveals a lot about interactions between players.
Heres a few terms that may be discussed during play:
ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE:
Manager of a client's account. ^
BRAINSTORMING:
A way of producing an idea or solving a problem by holding a group discussion.
BRAND:
Name, term, design, symbol, or any other feature that identifies one business’s product as distinct from those of their competition. *
CLIENT:
A person or group that invests in professional services to fulfill a need.
CLIENT BRIEFING:
Investment of time for creative professionals to understand the client’s needs and desired goals. This is also a good time to ask more detailed questions about the client’s business, background, progress and current standing.
CREATIVE DIRECTOR (CD):
Person leading a creative endeavor. Usually they present work to clients and make decisions to go this way or that for the team.
CREATIVE PROCESS:
Process to which a project or initiative is conceptualized, designed, published, executed, implemented and measured.
CREATIVE PROFESSIONALS:
A general noun or title for any professional in the creative industry. Some specific titles include: designer, photographer, art director, copywriter, account executive and web developer.
CREATIVE REVIEW (CR):
Review of a creative project. Usually with the client.
CREATIVE SERVICES:
A list of services creative professionals offer clients. These can range from branding, design, illustration, copywriting, proofreading, development, programming, photography, videography, and many others.
DEADLINE:
Time-specific dates by which components or parts of a project or initiative must be completed.
DELIVERABLE(S):
Tangible and realistic expectation set between client and creative professional.
INTERNAL REVIEW (IR):
Review of a creative project within the team.
LOGO:
Also called logotype. A graphic representation or symbol of a company name, trademark, abbreviation, etc., often uniquely designed for ready recognition. ^
MILESTONE:
A significant stage in the life of a project or initiative. Not all milestones are deadlines, but some deadlines may be viewed as milestones.
MINDSHARE:
The level of awareness in the minds of consumers that a particular product commands. ^
PRESS CHECK:
A step in the printing process. It takes place after a printing press is set up but before the print run is underway. *
PROJECT MANAGER (PM):
Manager of the timeline, visual assets, communication, and creative professionals.
PROOF:
A trial print or digital print of a deliverable in order to check for accuracy of layout, type, content and color.
TIMELINE:
The duration of time a project or initiative is given.
